performance grant
The Friends of the Florence
Events Center announces the
open application cycle for
small grants for use of the
Florence Events Center facili-
ty rental fees.
Potential applicants may
pick up an application from
the Florence Events Center
office or go online at
www.eventcenter.org
and
download an application
form.
The mission of the Friends
of the Florence Events Center
is to support the FEC’s staging
of musical, theatrical, educa-
tion and cultural events for the
greater Florence area.
This is accomplished by
financial support for the cen-
ter’s needs, as well as serving
as a vital source of volunteers.

$725 to the Florence area
community arts organizations,
who stage events at the FEC.
Grant criteria requires the
funds to be used for an event
rental in the theater or on the
flat floor within the 2017-18
performance year at the
Florence Events Center by a
nonprofit organization.
Preference will be given to
organizations that use volun-
teers and events that are open
to the community.
Applications are to be
received or postmarked no
later than June 20 at 4 p.m. at
the Florence Events Center
office.

Senior Center seeks
kitchen manager, cook
The Florence Senior Center,
a nonprofit organization, is
looking for a part time kitchen
manager and cook for
Tuesdays and Thursdays.
In addition to a kitchen
manager, the center is also in
need of volunteer servers/wait-
ers.
