season-ender, the Bulldogs
completed the sweep with an 8-
1 win in the opener, then a 9-5
win in the nightcap.
Despite the losses, the final
game was one of the Viks’ best
outings of the season, with
Siuslaw taking the lead twice in
the matchup and tying the game
at 5-5 in the fifth inning.
Timely hitting by North Bend,
along with a series of Siuslaw
errors, helped put the Bulldogs
back on top in the sixth inning to
finish the sweep.
The Vikings ended the season
at 1-14 in league (1-21 overall)
That same day, the Viking soft-
ball team finished its season on
the road at North Bend in a dou-
bleheader with the Bulldogs, with
the ’Dawgs winning both games,
14-0, 15-10.
Wednesday concluded a hectic
three days of play for Siuslaw,
which included a single game
against North Bend on Monday,
followed by a make-up double-
header
Tuesday
against
Brookings-Harbor,
then
Wednesday’s doubleheader at
North Bend.
In Tuesday’s match-up,
Siuslaw connected for 11 hits in
game two, with junior Ariel
Rosinbaum going 3-for-4 with 2
runs scored, along with 2 RBIs
from freshman Mia Collins.
In the opener, the Lady Viks
had only 3 hits, including 1 each
from freshman Elissa Hurley,
sophomore Hayley Meier and
Collins.
The Lady Viks ended their sea-
son at 1-14 in league (4-20 over-
all).

Championships this weekend
at Raider Stadium.
Dotson, along with 12 other
entrants, competed in the 110-
meter hurdles (16.40 seconds),
discus (130-10.75), pole vault
(14-5.25), javelin (159-8) and
the 1,500 meters (4:27.51).
Dotson landed personal
records in the pole vault and
javelin, as well as the 1,500
meters by 6 seconds. The ore-
vious day, he also competed in
the 100-meter dash and shot
put.
Events for the May 12 and
13 championships at SOU
begin Friday for Dodson with
the long jump at 4 p.m.
Dotson will kick off
Saturday’s meet with the
javelin at 11 a.m.
