Signifi cance & Success is Liz Breon
Th is town has lost a vital part of it’s community. Liz Breon the Soul owner of
Coast Jewelers. It wasn’t only a place of business, she helped the High School by
supplying her time and materials so they could off er jewelry making classes. She
did this because she loved young people.
She was a sponsor of many events in our town, helping the homeless
and unfortunate. She helped the Humane Society with the appraisal of
their jewelry.
Many people came by her store not to buy, but to ask questions and she
would take the time from her work to help.
Th is town will be feeling the loss of this wonderful person for a very long
time. I do feel we will never have a Jewelry Store as great as her store
was, and I will never have a friend as thoughtful, kind, helpful and
supportive and I will always love and miss you, Liz Breon.
Th ank you for letting my son’s and I be friends with you, “Dexter”,
“Mosses” and your bird “Georgie”.
Th ank you for everything!

“This is how I came upon the
remarkable story of the Barba-
Luna Family. As a gay man, I
take my ‘ally-ship’ with the
trans community seriously and
respectfully through consistent
grassroots work for trans
organizations.
“It is not an overstatement to
say that those I meet and work
with in the LGBTQ communi-
ties and beyond become my
friends, extended family mem-
bers and colleagues… and con-
tinue to be over time.
“My joy in simply connect-
ing with others on the level of a
shared humanity goes beyond
categories and labels.
“I am energized by the daily
process of community building
and networking that is an inte-
gral component of my work,
my play and my life.”

Regarding the film, director
Alencastre wrote “as a film-

importance of certain individu-
als and their stories of courage
and conviction and then begin
to document them with a trust
that the inherent importance to
the community will allow them
to come into being as films.
