Our Commitment to Our
Nurses. Our Responsibility
to Our Community.
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
As a proud Florence community member and partner for the last 27 years,
PeaceHealth Peace Harbor Medical Center recognizes the season of springtime
as a wonderful opportunity to renew our commitment to provide clinical
excellence and compassionate care to the people of Western Lane County. We
also renew our commitment to be a great place to work for our caregivers —
the amazing people of PeaceHealth Peace Harbor who perform our critical,
life-saving work.
This commitment extends to our valued nurses. We are committed to good faith
bargaining with their union representatives to reach an agreement our nurses
can be proud of and support, while sustaining our healing Mission for the next
27 years. We have proposed improvements to our nurses’ current contract
with terms that are consistent with and have been agreed to by their union
in other PeaceHealth communities. We are not seeking concessions.
As an organization that celebrates the dignity of the individual, PeaceHealth has
a long history of reaching agreements with our union-represented teams, and
out of deep respect for our nurses, we are committed to reaching an agreement

intent is to provide our nurses with improvements while keeping our doors open
so we can continue to serve the patients and families of Western Lane County.
We are thankful for this beautiful season of rebirth and grateful for our nurses,
caregivers, neighbors, partners and members of the Florence area community.
With gratitude and thanks,
Rick Yecny
