of Florence, passed away in his

Gordon
Robertson, son of the late Alan
and Virginia Robertson, is sur-
vived by his wife of 35 years,
Lori Robertson; his two chil-
dren: Spencer and Kay
Robertson; and his two sib-
lings: Janet Robertson and
Margaret Garman.
Gordon grew up in Northern
California and graduated from
OSU with a degree in civil
engineering. He maintained
long-standing friendships with
college roommates from
Beaver Lodge, reuniting every
summer for an annual family
camping trip.
Friends would describe
Gordon as being genuine, kind,
helpful, compassionate, a man
of integrity, a heartfelt adven-
turer and a true outdoorsman.
Growing up an Eagle Scout
and a camp counselor, Gordon
continued his love for scouting

throughout his life. He led
countless skiing and backpack-
ing trips. After years of service,
Gordon was awarded high hon-
ors as a scoutmaster. His son
Spencer became an Eagle
Scout under his leadership.
Gordon will be remembered
for his contagious enthusiasm
for camp songs whether rain or
shine, often singing louder the
harder it rained. He applied the
spirit of scout law to all aspects
of his daily life. As a contrac-
tor, he was generous with his
time and talents in the commu-
nity, regularly donating his
time to Habitat for Humanity,
always available to lend a hand
to those in need.
Gordon was an avid boater,
building his first canoe at age
13. In college, he took a trip
down the Yukon with a friend
in a raft they built. In later
years, he enjoyed sailing
adventures in San Juan Islands
with his wife, Lori. Spending
time with family, camping,
hiking, swimming and travel-
ing were among his favorite
pastimes. He proudly built a
private cabin that he frequent-
ed with family and friends on
Siltcoos Lake.
Though the last few years
were more difficult with a
body that wouldn’t cooperate,
Gordon always had a fighting
spirit, was gracious to others
and found joy engaging with
those close to him.
A celebration of life gather-
ing will be held on Saturday,
April 29, at 2 p.m., at Camp
Baker Boy Scout Camp in the
main lodge.
In lieu of flowers, the family
suggests donations to either the

Humanity.
