lead
the
21st
annual
Ecumenical Lenten Renewal
Weekend set for March 18 and
19 at the Presbyterian Church
of the Siuslaw, 3996 Highway
101 in Florence.
The theme of the events will
be “Discipleship in John: A
Lenten Perspective.”
Three 90-minute seminars
will be given on Saturday,
March 18, at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m.
and 2:30 p.m., focusing on
three incidents in John’s
Gospel: The Samaritan woman
at the well; the man born blind;
and Lazarus, Mary and Martha.
Described as a spell-binding
speaker who paints vivid word
pictures of Biblical text, Lewis
will preach at a multi-denomi-
led by Laura Merz, will
participate in the service.
Lewis is the author of
“SHE: Five Keys to
Unlock the Power of
Women in Ministry” and
“John: Fortress Biblical
P r e a c h i n g
Commentaries,” as well as
numerous articles for The
Christian

internationally on the Gospel
of John, the New Testament,
interpreting the Bible, preach-
ing, leadership and women in
ministry.
She is a contributing writer
