the art created during
the popular Wallflowers
and Wine events. Local
award-winning
artist
John Leasure has held
five social-style art class-
es, each with 20 students
— with a total of 100
individual works pro-
duced.
Subject have included
sunflowers, roses, pop-
pies, blue Hydrangeas
and hummingbirds.
Come to Gallery One
through March and
enjoy a variety of sub-
jects created by dozens of
local artists.

Students get a chance to showcase their talents

PTA will host its annual K-
5 Student Talent Show on
Wednesday, March 8, and
Thursday, March 9, at the
Florence Events Center.
Each night will feature
different student perform-
ers, from kindergarten
through 5th grade, with
special middle school
appearances.
The community is invit-
ed to join Siuslaw students
and parents for this display
of Siuslaw’s superstars per-
forming vocal and piano
solos, gymnastics, dance,
poetry and more.
Tickets
are
available for just
$2 for PTA
members and $3
for non-members
in the Siuslaw
Elementary
School office.
