Local public radio station KXCR will
present “Hearts & Roses,” a special
Valentine dance at the Elks Lodge.
All are invited to hold their honey
close and glide to the mellow music of
times past.
There will be a great selection of
romantic American dance music of the
last half century, from Glenn Miller’s
“Moonlight Serenade” to Patti Page’s
“Tennessee Waltz.”
Raffle prizes, free snack buffet, and
the Elks Lodge no host bar will round
out the evening’s activities.
Admission is $5. All are welcome in
support of KXCR’s efforts to provide
non-commercial, community radio to
central coast listeners.

On Saturday, Feb. 25, from 1 to 3
p.m. in the Bromley Room of the
Siuslaw Public Library, celebrate the
15th annual commemoration of 300
years of progressive legislation to
bring civil, human and equal rights
to all people in America will be cele-
brated.
The event is free and open to the
public and will include a remem-
brance of those who gave their lives
to work for equal rights from 1717-
2017 together with a conversation
for inclusion and the fight against
hatred.
This program is supported by
KXCR, non-commercial radio, and
the members of Citizens Democracy
Watch.
The Siuslaw Public Library is not
