OWEB Land Acquisition Grant Program, concerning approxi-
mately 250 acres in the vicinity of the City of Florence,
Grant Application No. 217-9904. The Oregon Watershed
Enhancement Board (OWEB) is a state agency that provides
grants to help Oregonians take care of local streams, rivers,
wetlands, and natural areas.
OWEB is considering a grant of funds to McKenzie River
Trust for the purpose of purchasing certain property rights
on approximately 250 acres in the vicinity of the City of Flo-
rence, in Lane County, under Grant Application No. 217-9904.
OWEB will hold a conservation easement, or third party rights
of enforcement in a conservation easement, if the property
rights are purchased with OWEB funds.
OWEB will hold a public hearing for the purpose of pro-
viding interested parties with a meaningful opportunity to
comment on the OWEB grant application. Questions or com-
ments about the grant application, or public hearing, are to
be directed to the OWEB representative identified below.
Requests for special accommodations in order to partic-
ipate in the public hearing must be made at least seven (7)
days prior to the hearing. Written comments concerning the
grant application must be received by OWEB on or before
January 9, 2017.
The hearing will be held December 21, 2016, 10:00 am, at
Florence City Hall, 250 Highway 101, Florence, OR 97439.
