Us TOO Florence has two monthly meetings – each usually has a urologist present to
answer questions:
a. 2 nd Tuesday of each month – 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church
of the Siuslaw. Urologist Dr. Bryan Mehlhaff attends.
b. 3 rd Tuesday of each month – 12 noon – 1:00 p.m. at the Ichiban Chinese/
Japanese Restaurant. Urologist Dr. Roger McKimmy attends.
Us TOO Florence outreach includes a monthly article in the Coast Life Section of the
Siuslaw News being either a local man’s Personal Prostate Cancer Journey or a Behind
the Headlines written by Facilitator Bob Horney; attendance at health fairs at the FEC
and Three Rivers Casino; 3-ring binders at over 20 locations in Florence with the above
articles inside and updated monthly; weekends in September at the Boardwalk Market
highlighting Prostate Cancer Awareness Month; advertising in the Siuslaw News and
its special editions plus Shippin’ Shack’s Clip-N-Save editions. Finally, maintaining
our own website: www.ustoofl orence.org.
