Be Joyful! Help Others! Make a Diff erence!
This is the Ɵ me of year when every charity stretches out a
hand and asks for your help to meet its mission, and that is a
good thing because it gives us all a chance to factor the needs
of our community into our Christmas and year-end giŌ lists. So
why should you put Florence Habitat for Humanity on your list?
One really important thing makes Habitat for Humanity special.
The eff ects of Habitat for Humanity’s ac ons in this community
are LASTING. Aff ordable housing and home repairs take some
me to accomplish but when Habitat volunteers are done, a
family has a home, a wheelchair ramp makes a wider lifestyle
possible, and a new roof or new steps with railings has a long
term eff ect on the health and safety of a homeowner.
Please make a gi to Florence Habitat for Humanity that will assist to build or repair a home. If your ready
cash is scarce, but you have me and skills, please give the gi s of your me and talent by volunteering at
our construc on and/or repair sites, clerking in or repairing items
donated to our ReStore, or helping out in our offi ce. Donate your
old car or your house to Florence Habitat. Donate land so Habitat
can build homes. Donate working appliances, furniture, tools
and building materials to the ReStore for resale to others. Leave
Florence Habitat a legacy in your will or make Florence Habitat a
benefi ciary of your Trust. Every gi will make a las ng diff erence
in this community.
The mission of Habitat for Humanity is to eliminate substandard
housing and create safe, healthy and aff ordable housing together
with hope for the future right here in Florence.
Working together we all can make this happen and many lives will
