The Great American
Baking Show
Thursday at 9 p.m. on KATU,
KEZI
Known as “The Great Holiday
Baking Show” when it first
aired last year, this competi-
tion returns for another limited
run. Mary Berry, a huge star in
England thanks to the original
version of the program — “The
Great British Bake Off” — is
back as a judge, along with
Johnny Iuzzini, to gauge the ef-
forts of contenders vying to be
named America’s Best Amateur
Baker when all is said and
baked. Spouses Nia Vardalos
and Ian Gomez also return as
hosts.
A Dream of Christmas
Saturday at 8 p.m. on HALL
Call it “It’s a Not So Wonder-
ful Life,” if you wish, because
this new holiday fantasy stars
Nikki Deloach (“Awkward”) as
an ambitious and unhappily
married woman who fantasizes
about being single again. She
awakes to find her wish grant-
ed in spades, because she has
everything she ever wanted —
except her husband, whom she
immediately starts searching
for. Andrew Walker (“Against
the Wall”) also stars.
Hairspray Live!
Wednesday at 8 p.m. on
KGW, KOBI
Producers Craig Zadan and
Neil Meron continue their an-
nual tradition of staging a live
musical with the hit show based
on John Waters’ purposely
kitschy movie. The cast is filled
with performing veterans in-
cluding Kristin Chenoweth, Jen-
nifer Hudson, Harvey Fierstein
and Martin Short — but new-
comer Maddie Baillio gets the
central role of Tracy Turnblad, a
teen who attains her dream of
dancing on a 1960s Baltimore
television show, then lobbies to
integrate it.
The identity of the featured celebrity is found within
the answers in the puzzle. In order to take the TV
Challenge, unscramble the letters noted with aster-
isks within the puzzle.
