iuslaw High School’s band,
directed by teacher Chris
Rowbotham, played during
the annual Florence
Veteran’s Day Parade on
Nov. 11. The band set
up under the Siuslaw
River Bridge on Bay
Street and played a vari-
ety of songs for area vet-
erans, community mem-
bers and parade partici-
pants. Afterwards, it
was announced that
Siuslaw High School won Best
Band and received a ribbon.
