camera and take photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus at Gazebo Park starting at 3:30.
Enjoy festive music near Siuslaw Interpretive Center, join in and sing along with
the Siuslaw School Choir as they stroll down Bay Street and stop at Gazebo Park.
Enjoy delicious goodies, hot cocoa and cider from local merchants. Hay rides
too! Pick up/drop off at Lotus and Port parking lots. A short musical program will
be presented around 5 pm, just before the countdown for Mayor Joe Henry to

Paint, drink and be merry at Wallflowers and Wine. Need to relax with friends
after cooking that big Thanksgiving dinner? The Friends of Florence Events
Center have just the answer: another Wallflowers and Wine event with talented
instructor John Leasure! This will be held on Saturday, Nov. 26, at 6:30 p.m., in
the Backstage area at the FEC. These events have gotten rave reviews, and
even if you have never painted before, you will leave with a fantastic painting.
The subject in November will be lovely roses. The timing of this class is great,
also, as you may just create the perfect gift to give to that special someone for
Christmas. The cost is $45, which includes all supplies, a glass of wine or other
beverage choice and appetizers. Tickets for this event are available at the FEC
Box Office. Space is limited, so sign up soon. Nov. 30- Jan.2 Give Art This
Christmas - Gallery Show Artwork for this exhibit will be shown at the Florence
Events Center.

2-3 - HOLIDAY ARTS FEST 2016
Holiday Arts Festival is the perfect place to shop for unique gifts for this
Holiday Season. The event is presented by Florence Regional Arts Alliance
(FRAA). This year there are two days to shop. Opening Friday, Dec 2nd, from 1
pm – 7 pm for your afternoon/evening shopping and again Saturday, Dec 3rd,
from 10 am – 4 pm at the Florence Events Center. You will get to meet the
craftsmen and artisans, showing off their latest creative designs and unique
works of art in many genres. Holiday Arts Festival kicks off this special Holiday
event, starting Friday at the Florence Events Center with Empty Bowls. So come
join the fun and enjoy a unique shopping experience. Admission is FREE.
2-4 - EMPTY BOWLS FOR FLORENCE

E mpty Bowls celebrates it's 21st year of helping
the hungry. Buy an empty, one-of-a-kind,
handmade ceramic bowl created by local
artists and in the process, help someone who
may otherwise go hungry for the holidays.
Purchased bowls will be accompanied by a
coupon redeemable for one cup of soup at a
participating restaurant during the month of
December. This annual Empty Bowls fundraiser
will be held Dec. 2, from 5:00 to 7:30 pm.;
Dec. 3 from 10 am to 4:00 pm,; and Dec. 4, from 12:30 to 3:30 pm at the
Florence Events Center. All proceeds will benefit the Florence Food Share.
Admission is FREE.
2-4 - HOLLY JOLLY FOLLIES
Ho Ho Hollywood – The Holly Jolly
Follies. Tickets are $18 for adults and
$10 for kids 12 and younger.
Showtimes are Friday at 7 pm,
Saturday at 2 pm and 7 pm, and
Sunday at 2 pm. All proceeds will
support youth scholarships and the
ongoing free arts programming that
C.R.O.W. provides to local kids. A
happy tradition in Flo-town is to
gather the family and head to the
Florence Events Center for the
community event, “The Holly Jolly
Follies.” This year’s Follies will be produced December 2nd, 3rd, and 4th by
local youth non-profit, Children’s Repertory of Oregon Workshops (C.R.O.W.)
with Artistic Director, Melanie Heard at the helm. Rose Ellen Jacobson has
penned a hilariously quirky plot, involving some favorite well known Christmas
icons, including dear old Mr. Claus (played by local favorite, Dorland Neale), and
the wickedly wonderful Grinch (played by Michael Jacobson). The theme
revolves around Hollywood and all that it offers, including glitz, glamour, and
an evil scheme that the Grinch has cooked up to kidnap Claus to help rekindle
his career. As expected, there will be delightful cameos from many familiar
faces including the FloTones, local Choirs, and of course, the C.R.O.W. kids!

9-11 & 16-18 - THE SANTALAND DIARIES
THE SANTALAND DIARIES is a brilliant evocation of what a slacker's Christmas
must feel like. Out of work, our slacker decides to become a Macy's elf during
the holiday crunch. At first the job is simply humiliating, but once the
thousands of visitors start pouring through Santa's workshop, he becomes
battle-weary and bitter. Finding consolation in the fact that some of the other
elves were television extras on One Life to Live, he grins and bears it,
occasionally taking out his frustrations on the children and parents alike. The
piece ends with yet another Santa being ushered into the workshop, but this
one is different from the lecherous or drunken ones with whom he has had to
work. This Santa actually seems to care about and love the children who come
to see him, startling our hero into an uncharacteristic moment of goodwill, just
