Last Thursday, hundreds turned out for the 5th annual Good Life Boomer & Senior Expo sponsored by Siuslaw News and held at the Florence Events Center, along with the
Wellness Fair, sponsored by Three Rivers Casino Resort. A free shuttle service between the two events provided visitors to experience everything from Zumba classes and safe-

Twin Lakes Store collecting for teens
The Twin Lakes Store has
once again begun fundraising
for its annual Teen Giving Tree
and is asking the community
for donations of produce and
fruit. One hundred percent of
the proceeds are used to buy
Christmas presents for the
teens in the north lakes neigh-
borhood.
“Gleaning the local gardens
is a wonderful way to raise
money for our Teens,” said
Vicki Ambrosio, owner of
Twin Lakes Store.
Tomatoes, tomatillos, beans,
zucchini, apples and more have
been available from time to
time. However, apples —
including asian apples — are
all that is currently available.
Twin Lakes Store is located
three miles North of Florence
on Highway 101, near Sutton
Lake. Donations can be
dropped off during business
hours, seven days a week, from
8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
