he fourth annual Boom er and Senior Expo,
presented by the Siuslaw News and spon-
sored by Hillside Retirem ent
Com m unity, takes place Thursday, Oct.
27, from 10 a.m . to 3 p.m . at the FEC, 715
Quince St., and features inform ation
designed especially for seniors, caregivers
and their friends and fam ily m em bers.
Adm ission is free with a donation of
canned food for Florence Food Share.
“We have a diverse senior population in
this community and we hope the Boomer
and Senior Expo offers new and creative
ways to meet the needs of these residents,” said
Siuslaw News General Manager J enna Bartlett. “We
have programs for active seniors who are looking for
everything from new fitness activities to financial serv-
ices, or information and
tips for those who need
assistance getting around
safely and affordably.”
The expo includes a
diverse range of
exhibitors, entertainm ent
and educational sem inars
with the goal of helping
the 50 -plus dem ographic
m anage and enhance all
aspects of their lives.
Starting at 1 p.m ., BJ ’s
Ice Cream is dishing up
free scoops while supplies last.

30 booths of services,” Bartlett said.
