The T-Club Band, based in
Eugene, Ore., has been shaking
dance floors from Ashland to
Portland since the turn of the century
with catchy reggae rock infused psy-
chedelia. The band focuses on posi-
tive dancing and musical healing.

Skandia Leikarringen is a
Scandinavian folk dance group locat-
ed in Junction City. Although they
dance primarily at the Junction City
Scandinavian Festival each August,
they are returning to Florence for the
annual Oktoberfest. In addition, they
have performed at the ScanFair in
and many years, the T-Club’s line up
has shown musical evolution at it’s
finest. Band members include Nate
York on vocals and guitar,
Michelle Bellamy and
Ambur Rose on vocals,
Mark Anderson on bass, DJ
Redeye on keys, turntables
and percussion, Peter Merkx
on percussion, Mike D. on
saxophone and vocals, Brian
Y. on drums, Eric
Edmondson on trombone
and Mizzah on
didgeridoo.
According to
the T-Club,
you never
know who
might be sit-
ting in that
night, but you
are guaranteed a
ruckus when the
band rolls around.
The T-Club band plays from 5:40
to 8 p.m., with a brief intermission.
CYAN
Several members of the band are
members of the Tirolean Dancers,
which is also performing at this
year’s Oktoberfest.
The Alpine Echoes Band performs
from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m., 1:45 to 2:30
p.m. and 4:15 to 5:15 p.m., during
Happy Hour.
Portland, the Astoria Midsummer
Festival and Lane County Fair.
Currently made up of 10 to 12 cou-
ples, the
dances are
from the
countries of
Norway,
Denmark,
Sweden and
Finland.
They also
do German
folk dancing and perform their lively
dances in colorful regional costumes.
Skandia Leikarringen performs its
routine from 2:30 to 3 p.m. and again
from 3:45 to 4:15 p.m.
