ing of the Florence Area
Community Coalition (FACC)
on Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 9
a.m. in the Bromley Room of
the Siuslaw Public Library.
He will provide updates
about the Florence schools and
share his vision for the future of
the school system.
Grzeskowiak began his
tenure as superintendent on
July 1, but is not new to the
schools. He has served in a
variety of roles for the past 22
years and has much to share.
The featured agency for this
month is Siuslaw Outreach
Services (SOS). Those who
come to the meeting are invited
to donate children’s clothing,
all sizes, or cash to help SOS
provide vouchers for laundry
and showers. The number of
persons needing assistance
from SOS has ballooned this
summer and donations are
greatly appreciated.
Community members who
have not joined FACC have an
opportunity to enter a drawing
for a free annual membership.
The meeting is open to the
general public.
Kathy Parsons’ House Concert
Series today, Aug. 27, at 7 p.m.
House concerts provide a
unique experience for both the
artists and the audience. The casu-
al setting provides a much more
intimate opportunity to get to
know the artists and to interact
with them.
There is a suggested donation
of $15 at the door.

be given when reservations are
made.
Graamans is an exceptionally
versatile pianist, and his concert
will include a mix of original
music, classics, ragtime and some
surprises.

Teachers Association.
He went to the University of
Oregon in 2011 to continue
studying music, but dropped out
during his second year in order to
pursue further performance
opportunities on the coast.
In addition to performing his
own concerts a few times a year,
Graamans is the organist and
choir director at Yachats
Community Presbyterian Church
and the accompanist for Central
Coast Chorale in Newport.
He also plays regularly in pit
orchestras for community the-
ater, including a recent stage
reading of his original musical,
“She Loves Me Not.”
