Starlight Cabaret to host Stella Blue
DONATES TO SCHOOL PROGRAM
Musician Stella Blue will
perform at the Starlight
Cabaret tonight.
The music begins at 6:30
p.m. at the Florence Unitarian
Universalist Fellowship, at
Highway 101 and Heceta
Beach Road.
Blue has been performing
music on the West coast for
more than 30 years. In addition
to performing at clubs and
restaurants in the Northwest,
summer finds her playing for
the crowds and vendors at craft
and farmers markets, as well as
festivals. She plays a wide
variety of music from her
songlist of 400 songs for all
ages and musical tastes.
Tea and coffee will be pro-
vided, or BYOB if over age 21.
Healthy finger foods are wel-
come.
The event is free to the pub-
lic, but donations will be
accepted.

School supply lists available online
Parents from local schools
have a new tool this year for
determining the school sup-
plies needed to purchase for
the 2016-17 school year.
All school supply lists are
now posted at www.Teacher
Lists.com.
With just one or two clicks,
parents can find all of their
2016-17 lists and get a head
start on this annual back-to-
school chore. People can print
their lists or look up their lists
on a smart phone in store
aisles.
They can even shop easily
online as TeacherLists auto-
matically shares the lists with
national retailers like Target
Deadlines for press releases
are Mondays and Thursdays
by noon. Email them to:

and Staples.
The site already includes
lists for Mapleton Elementary
School, Siuslaw Elementary
School, Siuslaw High School
and Siuslaw Middle School.
“For decades, the supply
list process has been a frustra-
tion for parents,” said
TeacherLists president John
Driscoll. “Where to find the
lists, when are they available,
forgetting the list on the
counter at home — all of those
issues are solved with
TeacherLists.”
More than 50,000 schools
now have lists posted on
TeacherLists.
Lists for more than 1 mil-
lion classrooms are live on the
site and include required and
requested items as well as spe-
cific notes and clarifications
from teachers and school staff.
Parents can even print
coupons for back-to-school
savings from popular back-to-
school brands.
Complete details and all the
lists are available at www.
