nearby dock, rescue crews
made resuscitative efforts
before transporting Ngo to

was nothing suspicious about
the drowning and there will be

River restroom
winner named
The Port of Siuslaw has
announced that Ron Caputo,
president of the Port
Commission, has selected a
name for the floating rest-
room.
Caputo said he came under
intense community pressure
to find a fitting and apt name
for the relief head.
“It needed to be a name
that would endure the test of
time, a name which would
not flush away with the cur-
rent,” said Caputo.
Runners-up included “Non
Invasive Feces,” “Toilet
Island,” “Head Above Water”
and “Dumptanic.”
The winner was Bonnie
Kramer, who submitted the
name “Relief Station.”
Kramer will receive a $100
gift certificate to ICM
Restaurant.
The floating restroom, a
gift from the Oregon State
Marine Board, will go into
the river this week. It will be
available for use immediately
thereafter.
