Meet winners of Backstreet challenge O UTWARD V ENTURES TO GO ‘O N THE T OWN ’
After sharpening their wits and
honing the right side of their
brain, the results these artists
have achieved will absolutely
amaze and delight you.
The finished pieces will be
exhibited at Backstreet Gallery
through July 31.
The winners are: Best of
Show — “Fireworks Over the
Siuslaw” by Bill Johnson; First
Place — “Enigma” by John
Stead; Second Place — “Time
Flies” by Terry Dewey; and
Abby Mucker took Third
Place.
Michael Anderson, guitarist
extraordinaire, will be back to
strum great tunes from the ’40s
to the present.

music at its best.
The gallery is open daily
from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and to
8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
The deadline to register to
experience the musical “On
the Town” with the Lane
Community College Florence
Center’s Outward Ventures
program has been extended to
Monday, July 11.
The Outward Ventures
group will attend the 3 p.m.

moves to Thursday
Construction work previous-
ly scheduled for July 5 has been
delayed until Thursday, July 14.
Ray Wells, Inc. will be per-
forming a grind/inlay to remove
and repave 2 inches of asphalt
on Rhododendron Drive from
approximately 250 feet north of
35th Street to just south of Eden
Lane, for a total length of
approximately 1,500 lineal feet.
