Relay For Life of Florence
“Lights! Camera! Cure!”
Celebrate ~ Remember
Fight Back
American Cancer Society research is
making a difference in Oregon. In this
Season of Hope the 5-year survival rate
is now 68%, compared to 50% from
1975-1977.
The world is seeing a signifi cant
reduction in cancer incidence and mor-
tality, in large part due to our combined
efforts. Currently the American Cancer
Society has awarded $3,848,000 to
researchers in Oregon.
ACS is the largest not-for-profi t,
non-government source of funds for
studying cancer. Relay For Life is the
signature fundraiser of the American
Cancer Society.
Funds raised go to more than
research. They provide transportation
programs to help patients get to treat-
ments. They provide counseling and
support to cancer patients and their
families. They provide free or reduced
cost lodging for cancer patients and
their families if they have to travel long
distances for treatment. Your donation
provides turbans, wigs, prosthesis, and
durable medical equipment to Oregon
residents.
Your donations make a difference.
The American Cancer Society saves
lives and creates more birthdays by
helping you stay well, helping you get
well, by fi nding cures and by fi ghting
back. Visit the ACS website at cancer.
