Florence Municipal Court
June 14
Drew Patrick Duval pleaded
guilty to disorderly conduct. He
must report to Court Services
Institute and pay $350 in fines.
He must not contact the victim.
Rebecca Hope Curtis pleaded
guilty to criminal trespass. She
was sentenced to six days in
Florence City Jail and must
report to Emergence Addiction
and Mental Health Services and
AMP. She must pay $175 in
fines and not contact or be in or
about the residence or place of
employment of the victim.
Abraham John Acuna plead-
ed guilty to DUII. He was sen-
tenced to 14 days in Florence
City Jail and must report to
treatment. He must pay $2,310
in fines and his driver’s license
is suspended for one year.
Kirk Shane Wilson pleaded
no contest to the attempted pos-
session of methamphetamine
and criminal mischief. He was
sentenced to four days in
Florence City Jail and must
report to Emergence Addiction
and Mental Health Services. He
must pay $525 in fines and not
contact or be in or about the res-
idence or place of employment
of the victim.
June 21
Eric Dean Sexton pleaded
guilty of a misdemeanor for
driving with a suspended
license and theft by receiving.
He was sentenced to 11 days in
Florence City Jail. He must pay
$1,150 in fines.
Robert Edwin Johnson plead-
ed no contest to theft and the
possession of a forged instru-
ment. He was sentenced to three
days in Florence City Jail. He
must pay $1,325 in fines and not
contact or be in or about the res-
idence or place of employment
of the victim.
Brandy Lee Saxton pleaded
guilty to theft. She was sen-
tenced to two days in Florence
City Jail. She must not contact
or be in or about the premises or
place of employment of the vic-
tim.
June 28
Richard Dennis Ruehle
pleaded no contest to unautho-
rized departure, interfering with
police and resisting arrest. He
was sentenced to 40 days in
Florence City Jail and must
report to AMP. He must pay
$625 in fines and not contact or
be in or about the residence or
place of employment of the vic-
tim.
Jeremy Travis Peterson
pleaded no contest to criminal
trespass. He must report to
Court Services Institute and pay
$475 in fines. He must not con-
tact or be in or about the resi-
dences or places of employment
of the victim and witness.
Kirk Shane Wilson pleaded
guilty of criminal mischief. He
must pay $375 in fines.
Benjamin Meyer Ziemke
pleaded no contest to theft, pos-
session of a forged instrument
and the attempted tampering
with a witness. He was sen-
tenced to four days in Florence
City Jail. He must pay $1,255 in
fines and not contact or be in or
about the residences or places of
employment of the victims.
Christian Elizabeth Cropper
pleaded no contest to disorderly
conduct and interfering with a
police officer. She was sen-
tenced to two days in Florence
City Jail and must report to
AMP. She must pay $475 in
fines.
John Edwin Lidstrom plead-
2007 and 2012.
That number is also second
in the Pac-12, trailing only
Stanford’s 12.
To be eligible to be select-
ed, student-athletes must
have a minimum 3.0 cumula-
tive grade point average and
be a starter or significant
contributor.
Thompson has also earned
his first Pac-12 academic
honor, and is an economics
major with a 3.70 GPA.
City of Florence plans
to begin construction of
the Rhododendron Drive
Shoulder Extension Project the
week of July 7.
Construction will occur dur-
ing the day, and residents will
experience single lane closures
with flaggers conducting traffic
control. The intersections of
11th Street, Wildwinds and
Center Road (to Greentrees)
will remain accessible from
Rhododendron Drive.
No detours are planned.
The contractor will first set
up traffic control and remove

Siuslaw graduate Jake
Thompson, a pitcher for
Oregon State University, has
been named to the Pac-12
Conference’s All-Academic
First Team.
Thompson led an Oregon
State contingent of 11 stu-
dent-athletes who have been
named to either the first, sec-
ond or honorable mention
teams. The 11 set a school
record, surpassing the pro-
gram’s six honorees in both
ed no contest to assaulting a
public safety officer, interfering
with police, resisting arrest, the
unlawful possession of a
weapon and criminal trespass.
He was sentenced to 10 days in
Florence City Jail. He must pay
$900 in fines.
Todd Alan Strom pleaded
guilty to criminal mischief and
two counts of disorderly con-
duct. He was sentenced to seven
days in Florence City Jail and
