Florence Center will offer an eight-
week sight reading course designed
for singers of all skill levels starting
June 20. The classes, taught by
Laura Merz, will help students
develop music theory skills, includ-
ing vocal development and perform-
ance, simple notation, rhythm, pitch
and harmony.
About 50 percent of the class will
be spent singing to practice theories.
Classes are from 2 to 4 p.m.,
Mondays, June 20 through Aug. 15,

dancing. The Fabulous Studio Band
is on tour and will be performing
from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be a
chicken fried steak buffet dinner at 7
