FLORENCE — Did you enjoy
“Shrek the Musical, Jr.” last April
at the Florence Events Center? If
so, then you might be wondering
how to get your child involved
with Children’s Repertory of
Oregon Workshops (CROW).
One great way to learn the
ropes is to participate in CROW’s
Summer Theatre Camp sessions
for youth ages 6 and older.
This year’s first two-week
camp is called “Freaktacular
Fantasy Camp” and will take
place July 11 to 22, from 10 a.m.
to 2 p.m, Monday through Friday.
Mermaids, monsters, martians
and all sorts of imaginary crea-
tures will be taking the stage.
During these fun two weeks,
campers will tap into their wildest
imaginations to create fantastical
characters.
Then, CROW directors will
help campers put 'em into script-
ed stories and act them out.
The second camp is entitled
“Technical Theatre Camp” and
will take place July 25 to Aug. 5,
from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, Monday
through Friday.
