There will be several activities all
weekend presented by both the Elks
and the Ladies of Elks. All activities
will take place at the Florence Elks
Lodge #1858, at 1686 12th St.
The Elks Share Shop/Thrift Store
will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. every
day during Rhody Days. Come in
and check out the bargains. All cloth-
ing is $1 each and books are $1 or
less.
The Ladies of Elks have expanded
the annual Pie Sale to include baked
goods like cookies, bars, cupcakes
and much more. It will begin on
Saturday, May 21, at 11 a.m. sharp.
Once the goodies are gone, they’re
gone. There will be signs directing
traffic.
The BBQ Chicken Dinners go on
sale on Saturday at 11 a.m. until 4
p.m. or until sold out. Each dinner is
$9. They are scrumptious: barbecue
chicken, potato salad and baked
beans. This takes place on the south
side of the Elks Lodge.
To top off your dinner on Saturday,
there will be ice cream sundaes.
On Sunday, Parade Day, start your
day at the Past Exalted Rulers
Breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m.
Breakfast is $8.
On Sunday the BBQ Chicken
Dinners go on sale at at 11 a.m. until
4 p.m. or until sold out. How about
taking your dinner and eating it while
you watch the Grand Floral Parade at
noon — sounds delicious!
And top off the day with another
ice cream sundae.
The Elks will see you there all
weekend long — having fun and sup-
porting the community. Happy
Rhody Days!
Wishing you all the magic and excitement of the 109th Rhododendron Festival.
Reminding you to stay and play safe.
