he 13 members of the 2016
Rhododendron Court “caught the wave”
and got into the Rhody spirit at the
Rhododendron Scholarship Showcase on May 11.
The three Senior Court Princesses, the five
Junior Princes and the five Junior Princesses
opened the showcase with a dance to a medley of
nautical tunes in a rousing opening number.

importance of life.

The Senior Princesses also performed talents
that included singing, writing and performing a
radio show and demonstrating martial arts moves.
All 13 members of the Rhody Court answered
questions in interviews with emcee Cindy Wobbe
and 2015 Queen Rhododendra Kennedy Roylance.
At the end of the evening, judges tallied the
princesses’ points and awarded Anderson as this
year’s Queen Rhododendra.
