The City of Florence has received an application to close
Maple Street between 1st and Bay Streets in Old Town for the
“Rhododendron Days Vendor Fair” to be held from Friday, May
20, 2015 to Sunday, May 22, 2016; as applied for by the Flo-
rence Area Chamber of Commerce. The Council will take pub-
ic comment at its meeting beginning at 6:00 pm on May 2,
2016 in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 250 Highway 101.
The Rhododendron Days Vendor Fair is planned to consist
of multiple street vendors along Maple Street from Bay to 1st
Streets. The City Council will consider whether the application
meets the criteria outlined in Florence City Code 7-5-1-1. If
you wish to submit comments by writing prior to the Coun-
cil’s meeting on May 2nd, you may submit them to City
Recorder, 250 Highway, Florence, OR 97439, or by fax to 541-
