Adams will once again
tickle the ivories as both the
musical
director
and
arranger, and Jacobson will
once again direct the show.
“Shoes” features the vocal
talents of Nancy Pearson,
who many will remember
from her portrayal of Patsy
Cline in “Always, Patsy,”
from a few summers ago,
and Denise Dee, who will
again perform her show-
stopping
rendition
of
Tammy Wynette’s “Stand
By Your Man.”
Jacobson and Adams will
also both sing in the show.
Audiences should note
that Jacobson wrote and
directed “If I Didn’t Care: A
Tribute to the Ink Spots,” as
well as this exciting offer-
ing.
For tickets, call the Elks
at 541-997-2610. Tickets
are $25 per person and
include dinner, dancing and
the show.

Backstreet Gallery recently
announced a new member,
Sher Rosenberg. Her work has
appeared in Celebrate Arts,
where she won several awards
and honorable mentions.
Like many artists, the affec-
tion for art began in
Rosenburg’s childhood. In her
case, it was while being raised
on a cattle ranch in central
California. This offered a great
atmosphere of “fresh air, wide
open spaces, critters and
chores to spark my creativity,”
said Rosenburg. “From gram-
mar school through the start of
my teens, I drew and painted
much of what I saw.”
After living in the Bay Area
and Montana, she relocated to
Florence in 2002, when she
met renowned artist and
instructor Katheryn Davis.
Though Rosenburg took but
a few classes, she didn’t return
to painting until 2006. After a
40-year hiatus, Roseburg said
of her craft, “I love every part
of the process... I paint for
myself, but what a rush when
someone else likes it too.”
The artist’s award-winning
works appear in Backstreet
Gallery, 1421 Bay St., along
with 20 other artists’ work.
