Last December, Best of
Show winners in the Little
Dickens Miniature contest
were husband and wife Rosy
and Pancho Clark. They are
being honored with their own
show at Backstreet Gallery,
1421 Bay St., beginning with
a special gallery reception
Saturday, April 9, from 3 to 5
p.m. during the Second
Saturday Gallery Tour.
Even though these winners
exhibited miniature pieces for
the Dickens show, their new
pieces are not restricted to
small works. You’ll be excited
to see their full size art.
Best of Show 2-D recipient
was Rosy Clark for her tiny
rendition
of
“Simple
Pleasures,” a delightful water-
color. Around town, you may
have seen Rosy’s marvelous
wall murals. In addition she
paints in oils, and her present
focus is on watercolors.
“Best Shell Seeker” is done
in watercolor on
Yupo paper, a very
difficult medium.
For Best of Show
3-D, Pancho created
an innovative sculp-
tural piece forged
from stainless steel.
He is well known
in Florence for his
ingenuity and diver-
sity of media in his
sculptures
that
could stand alone,
hang from the ceil-
ing, or a wall.
The pieces are
impressive whether
they are executed as
tiny sculptures or
quite large works.

Durst, Moore featured artists at Silver Lining Gallery
April showers bring two
unique imagery artists and
their striking photography to
the Gallery Above the Silver
Lining
Boutique,
2217
Highway 101, for the month.
The gallery will host a
champagne and hors d'oeurves
reception during the Second
Saturday Gallery Tour, April
9, between 3 and 5 p.m.
“Your senses will be
titillated, your eyes will be
filled with wonder, your
imagination will run wild
while wonderfully trying to
take in all of their combined
creativity and talents,” said
gallery owner Kimberly
Fleenor.
The two featured visual
artists are Al Moore, whose
work is the result of making
ordinary objects extraordi-
nary, and Bill Durst, who cre-
ates unique digital composi-

available from Photo Shop

“The results are completely
astounding,” said Fleenor.
“His compositions begin with
a purely imaginary concept
and then metamorphosis takes
place.”
Durst doesn’t keep the
record of his steps, so all of
his works are truly one of a
kind.
