The Siuslaw Viewfinders Camera
Club will hold its meeting at 6 p.m.

Public Library. The contest theme is
“Natures Gifts.” Everyone is wel-

B ECOME 211 TRAINED
The United Way will provide free
211 training at the Siuslaw Public
Library in the Bromley Room at
10:30 a.m.
Oregon 211 is working to help
connect community members to
available services Monday through
Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Similar to 911, 211 is a one-stop
connection to local services, includ-
ing utility assistance, food, housing,
child care, after-school programs,
elder care, crisis intervention and
The monthly meeting and lunch-
eon for the Florence Van Fans will
be held at The Shorewood on Spruce
Street at 11:45 a.m. Lunch is $8.50
per person.
Everyone is welcome to join the
group of volunteers and learn about
the awesome things it does to sup-
port the cancer van. There is no
charge to join the organization.

that will be held at the Florence
Regional Arts Alliance (FRAA) Art
Center from 5 to 7 p.m. There will
be live music, catering by Marianne
Brisbane of Le Bouchon, cham-
pagne, wine, punch and a raffle.
The event is open to FRAA mem-
bers and sponsors as well as the gen-
eral public.

Dancing With Sea Lions Splash

St. This first-time peek at all 21 sea
lions handpainted by area artists is a
gift to the community from the
Friends of the Florence Events
Center and is free to the public.
The arts have a ripple effect on the
community — just like sea lions
dancing through our beautiful
