region with locations in both Florence and Mapleton. Our
checkerboard District also serves the communities of
Deadwood, Swisshome, and Dunes City and stretches out
across a distance roughly equal to 2 .5 times the size of
Singapore: in other words, 667 square miles.
Siuslaw Librarians answered more
than 11,300 questions last year.
Every day, we help
dozens of people conducting job
searches, seeking computer
assistance, in need of legal or
medical information, or looking for
their next favorite book.

offers more than 225,000 items for checkout in-person and
online, high speed internet and computer access, early
literacy services, cultural and literary programs, and
community meeting space.
