NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Florence City Council will hold a public hearing on
proposed revisions to the City of Florence Solid Waste Rate
Schedule (Garbage Rates) on April 4, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Flo-
rence City Hall, 250 Highway 101. The proposal includes low-
ering and adjusting drop box rates from a min-max system
to a tiered cost of service system, requiring landlords to pro-
vide garbage service for their tenants, changing hauler li-
cense fee methodology from truck/axle count to a
percentage of gross receipts (3% starting July 1, 2016, phas-
ing into 5%), permitting annual rate increases of 80.6% of the
Consumer Price Index for the Portland-Salem Region, and
permitting pass-through rate increases for County Transfer
Site dump fee increases. The proposed changes can be
viewed on the City’s website at www.ci.florence.or.us. For

PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE
Mapleton School District No. 32 (MSD 32) will be hosting
a regular board meeting on 4/13/2016. MSD 32 is currently
applying to the USDA Rural Development Program for grant
funds associated with resurfacing the Mapleton track. The
total amount applied for is $49,500. These grant funds would
be put towards resurfacing the Mapleton track and painting
competition lanes. The public meeting announcement is a
requirement of the USDA Rural Development Program to in-
form MSD 32 community members and provide opportunity
to voice concerns. The public meeting will be held as follows:
4/13/2016 at 6:00 PM at the Mapleton High School Library
10868 East Mapleton Road, Mapleton, OR 97453. Purpose:
regular monthly board meeting with a focus on the applica-
tion for the resurfacing of Mapleton Track. Please contact

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Dunes City Council will
hold a public hearing on April 14, 2016, at 7:00 pm in the
Dunes City Hall, 82877 Spruce Street, Westlake, OR.
The City Council will hear public input on Ordinance No.
228, a proposed amendment to the Dunes City Code of
Ordinances relating to septic system maintenance.
The hearing will be conducted in accordance with the
Type IV process described at Section 155.4.1.7 of the
Cityʼs Development Code, also available for review at
City Hall or on the Cityʼs website at dunescity.com/ordi-
nances and clicking on the link to Ordinance No. 182.
Written testimony will be accepted by the City until the
close of the public hearing. To submit written testimony

dence must be directed toward the subject described
above or other criteria in the Plan or Land Use Regulation

Ordinance No. 228 amends Title XV (15) of the Dunes
City Code of Ordinances to repeal Chapter 157 and Or-
dinance No. 203 in their entirety. Ordinance No. 228 also
amends Title XIV (14) of the Dunes City Code of Ordi-
nances, entitled “Water Quality Protection,” to add a new
Chapter 142, entitled “Subsurface Sanitation,” imple-
menting new septic maintenance regulations.
Ordinance No. 228 and the draft staff report are avail-
able for inspection Monday through Thursday, 10:00 am
to 4:00 pm at the Dunes City Hall and on the Dunes City
website at dunescity.com. A copy of Ordinance No. 228
and the draft staff report are also available for purchase
at a cost of $0.25 per sheet.
