The prescription drug dis- posal drop box will be avail- able to the public Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the lobby of the Florence Justice Center, at 900 Greenwood St. This is a great way to safe- ly dispose of your outdated or unused prescription and over the counter medications. Due to the construction of our box, and its relatively small size, do not package any containers together in boxes or bags. The box does not accept any liquid medications or sharps (used needles or lances). The city hopes this con- venient disposal option can help keep area families safe and the waterways clean in Florence. This box is intended for use by the public, it is not intended for usage by com- mercial facilities. If you have any questions or concerns, contact the Florence Police Department at 541-997-3515.
