Whether seeking emotional bal- lads or rip-roaring barn-burners, the audi- ence can expect a collection of music that offers something for everyone. The talented young players of The Barefoot Movement, with an ear for all things musical, found their niche by creat- ing their own brand of bluegrass. With two full-length albums, an EP of traditional music, several cross-country tours and appearances at some of the top bluegrass festivals in the United States already under their belt, the possibilities for this act are endless. Crowding around a single microphone, their show is as fun to watch as it is to hear. The smiles on the faces of the band are obvious displays of the joy and excitement they feel when performing and the audience shares in the fun. With an apparent aversion to shoes, The Barefoot Movement plays with a style that invites the audiences to sit back, relax, take their shoes off and stay a while. Reserved seating tickets cost $25 each and are available at Bandon Mercantile (541-347-4341), at the door or visit BandonShowcase.org. A no-host wine bar by Edgewater’s and special treats by Coastal Mist will be offered at the show. Major sponsor of the 2015-16 Bandon Showcase season is the Mr. and Mrs. Michael L. Keiser Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation, with grant funding provided by the Oregon Arts Commission.
