of the Florence Herb
Enthusiasts on Thursday, Feb.

Patricia
Immel,
local
herbalist, licensed acupunc-
turist and co-founder of Rose
and Crown Apothecary, will
be the presenter.
Immel brings a vast knowl-
edge and wisdom to the
herbalist community. She has
been a practicing acupunctur-
ist in Florence since 2001.
In January, she relocated
her
healing
sanctuary,
Wellspring Clinic, to her new
location at Highway 126 and
Quince Street.
Visitors to her shop are
greeted by display of tinc-
tures and tonics, lotions,
creams and infused honeys.

tures at home using home-
grown herbs and flowers.

ing tonic. It can be used to
relieve arthritic joints, stimu-
late healthy liver function,
clear phlegm and treat —

Marchetti art featured at Silver Lining this month
Giuliano Marchetti is the featured
artist for February at The Gallery Above
the Silver Lining Boutique in Florence.
Marchetti’s art features mixed metal
montages, diverse dioramas, enticingly
engineered and entertaining inventions
and a host of other metal master-
pieces.
They each are incredibly intricate and
extremely intriguing.
A few have microscopes woven into
the compositions, just for the viewers to
get a real “up-close-and-personal”
glimpse to the vast array of detail.
Marchetti says he is completely
moved by a creative streak — or spirit —
that muses through him when he is most
receptive.
The Gallery Above the Silver Lining
Boutique, 2217 Highway 101, will host
Marchetti’s champagne and hors d'oeu-
vres reception on Saturday, Feb. 13,
from 3 to 5 p.m., during the Second
Saturday Gallery Tour.
“We are completely honored and

blessed to have this exciting and wildly
wonderful show throughout the month
of February,” said Silver Lining owner
Kimberly Fleenor. “One of Giuliano’s
incredibly intriguing characteristics is
his acute ability to see the extraordinary
in the mundane and make it truly excep-
tional.”
Marchetti takes used metals, parts,
bells, benches, faucets and instruments
and turns them into entirely different
objects of beauty.
His creations combine form and func-
tion, balance and geometry, dark and
light, science, spirit and spunk, and a
whole new way of looking at everyday
objects.
“Giuliano’s creations begin continu-
ously mixed with his skillful creativity,”
said Fleenor. “Where they wind up is
right here, in this fabulous collection for
you to feast your eyes on and be com-
pletely enamored and amazed.
“You might even be lucky enough to
own one, if you get here early.”
