after storm closure
South Jetty Road, south of
Florence, has been reopened
following a storm-related clo-
sure on Dec. 10, according to
the local Forest Service.

Accident causes power outage north of Florence
The road, which partially
washed out and became
impassable during last week’s
storm, has been repaired and is
now safe for travel.

A two-car accident on Highway 101, just north of Heceta Junction, caused a power outage Friday evening. No one
was injured, but one of the cars crashed into a power pole, causing a loss of power to residents north of Florence.
Power was restored approximately 90 minutes later.
