helmets and
protective visors

In 1998, the NFL
required visors to
be transparent.
With improved face
masks, cushioning
against impact and
chin straps, helmets
are now designed to
reduce concussions.

protect a
player’s ears.
At halftime, the game was
tied when the Eagles scored
back-to-back touchdowns worth
