When I was 25, my partner and I purchased the Gingerbread Village restaurant in Mapleton. In 1984, we also bought the Windward Inn in Florence. After four years, I left the Windward Inn in 1988 and solely focused on running the Gingerbread restaurant until 2004. Sadly, my husband passed away in 2006 leaving me the sole owner of Griff's Cleawox Market. I still enjoy seeing all the friends coming by the store. A few years ago, I had surgery on my eyes. Now I can see perfect without glass- es but unfortunately, had a few other things wrong. Due to those medical problems I was forced to retire.
