life were the 44 years she spent
with her husband, Al Myers.
Pat and Al married on April
2, 1976, after several years of
courtship.
In addition to finding “the
love of her life,” Pat gained six
children: Rick, Rhonda, Rhoda,
Rhochelle, Ron and Rhea (“the
6 Rs”).
Pat and Al were fond of say-
ing, “Pat married into the ‘Von
Trapp Family’…except that
(sad, but true) none of The 6 Rs
could sing.”
Pat was an accomplished
bowler, enjoyed playing golf,
loved to read and was a great
card player and puzzle solver.
Due to her sharp memory
and a keen ability to store all
kinds of trivia and information,
it was common to hear family
members say, “Ask Pat, she’ll
know!”
In addition to helping raise a
large family, Pat was employed
for 30 years with the phone
company.
Upon retiring in 1996, Pat
and Al fulfilled a dream of
theirs by moving from Eugene
to Florence. They enjoyed
many years in Florence fishing,
golfing and living in the com-
munity they loved to call home.
Pat lived her life with grace
and always demonstrated a
gentle, unconditional love to
those in her life.
On many occasions, she
expressed that she had no
regrets and was happy for her
beautiful life.
She remains an inspiration
and beacon to her family who
loves her and will miss her for-
ever.
Pat is survived by her
beloved husband, six children,
11 grandchildren, 12 great-
grandchildren, her sister, three
nieces, a nephew and three
cousins.
Donations can be made in
Pat’s name to cancer research
and finding a cure.
