He and his
wife Nancy,
who plays the
hammered
dulcimer, live
on a farm near
Fall Creek.
John played at the Mt. Angel
Oktoberfest for 15 years and also
taught at Lane Community
College from 1965 to 1999, with
some of his classes held at the
Heceta Head Lighthouse and in
the Light Keeper’s House.
He also hosts the International
Polka Party, heard on KCST 106.9
