Lady Viks third at Woahink B Y N ED H ICKSON Siuslaw News The sight of Siuslaw’s Celie Mans and Bandon’s Sailor Hutton approaching the finish well ahead of the pack in the varsity girls cross country race has become a familiar one this season. Saturday’s Woahink Invitational meet, which hosted teams from 25 schools, was no exception as Hutton was the first across the finish in 18:43.6. Mans, who managed to shave more than a minute off of her previous time on the difficult course, placed second in a time of 19:14.7. Thanks to Mans and the efforts of newcomers Morgan Bingham (20:44.8), a junior and recent trans- fer, and freshman Kaeli Ramos (21:49.3) crossing the finish in sixth and 15th place, respectively, the Viks were able to claim third overall with seniors Mikaela Siegel taking 26th and Sierra Potter 27th to round out Siuslaw’s top five.
