The newspaper will help you get to know your new town! Look through the newspaper to find and list the following: This year’s theme for National School Bus Safety Week is Be Smart–Be Seen, I Wait in a Safe Place. Look through today’s newspaper for a number written as a numeral. Rewrite the number as a word using letters. Many children are injured each year while getting on or off school buses. This is because the bus driver cannot see the area that is 10 feet in front of the bus. This is called the blind spot. Look at the overhead view of the school bus. Color in the blind spot. You can avoid being in the blind spot by always taking at least 10 giant steps away from your bus before crossing in front of it.
