Herbalists to learn history of medicinal herbs
Rocky Neil, local massage
therapist, will be the third
speaker to address cannabis
— specifically for medicinal
use — for the next Florence
Herb Enthusiasts meeting.
He will provide history
dating back to the 1996 pas-
sage of Senate Bill 420, also
known as the Compassionate
Act, and how the movement
has progressed over the
years.
Currently there are 21
states that have approved leg-
islative ruling providing
medical use and distribution
of marijuana with an-
other five states pending:
Florida, Ohio, Minnesota,
Pennsylvania and New York.
Mathematically,
that
means that half of the United
States is on board with the
advancement of marijuana
use, both recreationally and
medically, respective to each
states conditions.
