HAVE A QUESTION WE SHOULD ASK?
E MAIL : E DITOR @T HE S IUSLAW N EWS . COM
Could you live without social media for one week?
This week, the Siuslaw News asked our Facebook and Twitter
followers the weekly “Word on the Street” question.
Here are some of the answers:
“I could easily live
without social media here
in Florence. There are so
many wonderful ways to
pass the time — on the
dunes, at the beach, in the
mountains or paddling
across a lake. In fact, I’m
going to log off now and
go have some fun!”
“I will be for a week in
September. I’m going to
see my mom. She doesn’t
have any internet access or
a computer, and I don’t
own a smartphone. I won’t
have any problems, I’m
sure.”
“Sure, I could live with-
out it for one week. It
would be difficult, but
sometimes I feel over-
whelmed and it would be a
good break.”

“I would love to live
without it. I do love it, but
the constant stream of
information is an invasion
of our mind.”
