Goodman’s Floor Covering owners Wayne and Julie Goodman show how many yards of carpet are still needed to re-
carpet the Boys and Girls Club of Western Lane County Teen Center. Each inch represents 10 yards of flooring. The
shaded strip indicates 140 yards pledged and 210 yards remaining to be acquired. Each yard is $15. The Teen Center
is scheduled to open in September. The Goodmans donated the first 100 yards for the Buy a Kid a Yard campaign.

OPB’s Safeway branch to close Friday
Expect to be in a shelter where people must
provide for themselves for these items.

Operations Group

After consideration of the
bank’s clients, staff, sharehold-
ers and the community, Oregon
Pacific Bank has announced
the planned consolidation of
the Florence Safeway Branch
operations into the Florence
main branch at 1355 Highway
101.
The decision was made as a
result of the steady decline in
over-the-counter transactions
at the Safeway branch over the
past two years.
Although the number of
local Florence area clients has
grown, the client-based trans-
actions at the Safeway Branch
have declined, with virtually
100 percent of all new account,
lending and wealth manage-
ment services being adminis-
tered directly from the
Florence main branch.
The decision to consolidate
will allow Oregon Pacific Bank
to focus on delivering better
service to local clients from the
central point of the Florence
branch.
The last day of operations at
the Safeway branch will be
Friday, July 31.
In order to meet the needs of
clients who have enjoyed the
extended hours at the Safeway
branch, Oregon Pacific Bank
will be increasing banking
hours at its main branch.
Beginning Saturday, Aug. 1,
it will have the following hours
of operation:
Monday through Friday,
from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the
drive through opening at 8:30
a.m.; and Saturdays, from 9
a.m. to 1 p.m.
“We are excited to see all of
our Florence clients at the
main branch,” said Ron Green,
president and CEO. “Our
clients will have access to all
of our services and extended
hours in one location, and the
luxury of two drive-up teller
lanes and a drive-through
ATM.”
Additionally, online and
mobile services are available
to clients who need access to
their banking at any time or
place, said Green.
For more information, con-
tact Green at 541-902-9800.

Summer Auto Tips: Tires
Have your tires rotated about every 5,000 miles. Check
tire pressures once a month; check them while they're
cold before driving for any distance. Don't
forget to check your spare as well and be sure the jack
is in good condition.
Make sure your tires are operating safely and efficiently.
