POSITION PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Florence Habitat for Humanity creates successful home ownership by partnering low-income families with the community
to build affordable homes and provide affordable repairs to existing homes. The ReStore contributes to this program by selling
donated building materials, paint, furniture, tools and appliances at low prices and providing a means to recycle materials that
would otherwise become landfill. The Florence Habitat ReStore Assistant Manager position presents an opportunity to help with
the future development of a fast-growing, community-focused resale store in a dynamic, expanding organization.
The person in this position is responsible for assisting in the management of all phases of the ReStore program. Included
in that is day-to-day store operations; expense and income monitoring and reporting; volunteer recruitment, development, and
supervision; soliciting donations of items for resale and preparing and pricing donated items for display; as well as developing
marketing and sales strategies. The Assistant Manager will be on the sales floor with customers or working with donors and will
also open and close the store, ensure the maintenance, security and cleanliness of the facility and, in the absence of the Manager,
assume responsibility for daily balances and sales records. Some evening and out of town meetings required.
