Yachats Ladies to hold 16th annual Pie Social
YACHATS — The Yachats
Ladies Club will host its 16th
annual July 4th Pie and Ice
Cream Social, in the multi-
purpose room of the Yachats
Commons, tomorrow, July 4,
from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.,
or until the pies are gone.
The Yachats Commons is at
441 Highway 101, at the cor-
ner of Fourth St., in Yachats.
More than 160 homemade
pies will be featured at the
annual event that rekindles
the old-fashioned pie and ice
cream socials of the past.
Most pies will have been
made by Yachats Ladies Club
members, and some of the
pies have been made and
donated by the community.
Each serving is a sixth of a
pie and costs $3.50. Add ice
cream for 50 cents. Coffee
will be available for $1.
Large brownies will be also
be served for $2 each and to-
go boxes are available.
The wide variety of pies
available include many vari-
eties of apple, berry, peach
and cherry.

There will be other fruit
pies and 50 cream pies from
which to choose.
There will only be a few of
the specialty pies, including
raisin, pineapple, pecan, key
lime,
turtle,
chocolate,
coconut, sugar free and gluten
free, so come early for the
best selection.
The Yachats Ladies Club,
celebrating 88 years, is the
longest continually running
women’s service club in
Lincoln County.
The group raises money for
community needs.

Depweg has taken painting

band Bob retired, and taught
arts and crafts classes there
for many years.
