SIUSLAW NEWS ❚ FRIDAY, JULY 3, 2015 3 B Abel Insurance donates to SOS golf tourney Siuslaw Outreach Services has received a spe- cial donation from Abel Insurance, now a presenting sponsor for the 2015 Siuslaw Open golf tournament. In partnership with Mutual of Enumclaw, Abel Insurance presented checks totaling $1,618 to SOS exec- utive director David Wiegan. Mutual of Enumclaw pro- vided $684 through its “Claw Cash Incentive Program.” Each insurance agency that participates receives money to donate to charita- ble organizations of their choice. Abel Insurance employees earned that amount and selected SOS as the recipient. The checks were presented by Jennie Wieland, Mutual of Enumclaw district market- ing manager, and Wendy Abel-Hatzel of Abel Insurance. “We are so appreciate of this support from these busi- nesses. This helps make our upcoming golf tournament an even bigger success, and it would not otherwise be possible,” said Wiegan. The Siuslaw Open will be held Saturday, Aug. 22, at Sandpines.
