Elks events feature
barbecue, pie sale

here will be several activi-
ties presented by both the
Elks and the Ladies of Elks
during Rhody weekend, May 15-
17. All activities take place at the
Florence Elks Lodge #1858 at
1686 12th St. All proceeds go to
charities.
E LKS S HARE S HOP
The Elks Share Shop/Thrift
Store will be open every day dur-
ing Rhody Days. Come in and
check out the bargains.
All clothing is $1 each and
books are $0.50 to $1.
P IE AND B AKE S ALE
The Ladies of Elks have expand-
ed their Pie Sale to include baked
goods such as cookies, bars, cup-
cakes and more. It will begin
Saturday at 11 a.m. Follow the
signs to the north door.
BBQ C HICKEN D INNERS
The BBQ Chicken Dinners go
on sale Saturday and Sunday at 11
a.m. until 4 p.m. or until sold out
each day. Each dinner is $9 and
includes chicken, potato salad and
baked beans. This takes place on
the south side of the lodge. There
will also be ice cream sundaes on
Saturday.
Many choose to take their dinner
and eat it while watching the
parade on Sunday.
S UNDAY B REAKFAST
On Sunday, Parade Day, start
your day at the PER (Past Exalted
Rulers) Breakfast from 7 to 11
a.m. It is $8 per person.
Join us all weekend long to have
